While we were in Calgary, we celebrated Holly's birthday. French Toast. Presents. Playing at a cool downtown park that wasn't as fun as I had hoped. Ice cream cake with family.

It's hard to believe that I've been a mother for 10 years, but it's true! I love my Holly bear!

We spent an afternoon at Heritage Park. It's a cute little spot and the kids loved it. Our trip did include a big rainstorm (of course!), but we made the best of it. I always leave Calgary wondering if I should buy a membership to the zoo or Heritage Park.

One of our days in Calgary, we went to a train park in Airdrie. Our visited was interrupted by a very intense rain storm, but we got back on the trains and took a couple rides. The kids loved it! This place is run by a club of train enthusiasts and the trains are all one-eighth of their life size counterparts. It was a cute little spot.

After riding the trains, we went to Strathmore to see Gramma. We ate pizza and played and my family left early because Maeve was losing her mind. Real life!

In July, my Dad turned 60 and all my siblings turned up in Calgary to celebrate. It's not very often that we have the whole family together so it sure was fun! We spent a Saturday at Sundance Lake swimming and playing. Archer loved me, probably because I look and sound like his Mom, my sister! The kids all got along so well!

After we soaked up the beach, we went to my parents house to BBQ and eat cake. It was a pretty great day! So awesome to be all together.

Greta was baptized on May 25th. It was an exciting day! In total, her baptism was postponed 3 times!! What a patient gal my Greta can be! In the end, we chose to go to Calgary to baptize her so that all our core people could be there. It was pretty special. I'm really glad that Greta has chosen to be a follower of Jesus Christ. By being baptized, she's declared herself a disciple of Jesus Christ and in my opinion, that's about the most important thing a person can do!

Greta wore the same dress Holly wore for her baptism. It's so special to have that sister bond!
